Award-Winning Dog Photographer|Woof House Studio Wins 10 International Pet Photography Awards in 2026

When I found out that my work had received 10 awards at the 2026 International Pet Photography Awards—

including

3 Silver Awards, 5 Bronze with Distinction Awards, and 2 Bronze Awards—I honestly didn’t know which emotion to feel first.

Gratitude.

Relief.

Excitement.

Then, as I looked through the photographs together, something else stood out to me.

This collection tells the story of an entire year.

The collection included conceptual fine art, studio portraiture, environmental portraits, pets with their people, equine photography, and feline portraiture—reflecting the diverse stories I’m passionate about creating.

Some of these images began as ideas I carried around in my head for months. One waited more than a year before the right conditions finally came together. Others were created for clients who trusted me to tell the story of the animals they love most. A few were made while standing on frozen reservoirs. Others while being sandblasted by desert winds. Some were created in the quiet of the studio, where every detail could be carefully shaped.

Although they look very different from one another, they all came from the same place.

A desire to create photographs that feel like more than photographs.

I’m not interested in simply documenting what was in front of my camera. I’m always asking how I can transform a moment into something that feels timeless—something that tells a story, evokes emotion, or invites the viewer to imagine a world just beyond reality.

Competitions will always be subjective, and awards are never the reason I create. But they do encourage me to keep experimenting, taking creative risks, and asking more of myself as an artist.

I’m incredibly grateful to every client who trusted me with their beloved companions, because many of these photographs simply wouldn’t exist without that trust. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me throughout this journey, and to every dog, cat, horse, and person who became part of these stories.

As proud as I am of these awards, they also remind me that there are still so many ideas waiting to be created.
